Strikingly Different Photographs

If you think of fashion photography as being the pictures of clothes draped across beautiful bodies to be shown in advertisements, you will find only a small percentage of the pictures in this book to meet that expectation. Instead here you will find photographs that are striking, that don't really fit with the idea of selling a dress. Indeed if 'fashion' implies clothes, some of the pictures here don't show any clothes at all, just the form of the model.

About the Author
Harry was always good at science at school so they told him to study medicine. Somewhere along the line he realised poetry was a more fun way of saving lives and so switched courses to study mathematics. It made sense at the time. Since then he has rocked all imaginable stages nationally and internationally, from the UK festival circuit to German opera houses. Once he finishes trying to not fail his maths degree he will be working on finding some new words to play with and some new places to play with them. Maybe you should come along and see what happens. I saw Harry Baker on TED and couldn't wait to read his book. The book didn't disappoint me. He is quirky, sad, gentle and lovable. I have tried reading his poetry out loud but cannot begin to match his style.

Highly entertaining. Baker's poetry is witty and quirky.

I stumbled across his poetry on a blog I follow that had posted one of his TED talks. From there I discovered multiple YouTube videos of him performing his poetry, and when I found out he had a book, I knew I had to get it.

The Sunshine Kid did not disappoint. It had me laughing the whole way through and I could clearly hear his voice through the words. A wonderfully fun book of poetry to read.

simple and to the point

I bought this book to share with my kids that are learning to hunt. We use it to help refresh our shot placement before the season. The color and picture quality in it is good and detailed. The descriptions are helpful for a novice hunter but somewhat common sense to the experienced. Just the pics alone are good enough for us to refresh on. I brought it to our elk camp and was surprised how some of the older guys like me were interested in it. We archery hunt and rifle hunt.

The perfect field guide

I bought this book for a reference for big game animals that I don't have in my home state of Maine. I wanted to learn more about the differences between the white tails I'm used to and bigger western game. This book is perfect for my purpose. One of my favorite parts of this book is the double shot placement dots on each picture, one for a rifle shot the other for a bow shot. As a rifle hunter and a bow hunter I found this really helpful. I would recomend this book to anyone planning a hunting trip on a species they have'nt hunted before. I plan on purchasing the other book on African game also.

This is a great little book! Everything I need to know about shot placement in a concise format. Great for tree stand reading as it contains lots of good info about these animals. It is biased towards the firearm hunter, but doesn't mean the bowhunter can't glean just as much information.

Profound emotions, feelings of love, we all feel them and want to share them; I don't know about anyone else but a lot of the time it's so hard for me to write down exactly what it is that I'm feeling. Sometimes I want to express to my husband how very much I love him and how thankful I am for him and but I just can't find a way to put those feelings into words. Enter Marci's book. It's as if she peeked into my heart, understood the feelings in there and transcribed them simply and beautifully. Every now and then before we fall asleep, I read a page to my husband. LOVE
