About the Author
Fritz Zimmerman is an unaffiliated scholar with a B. A. in history from Purdue University. "The Encyclopedia of Giants in North America" is the result of over 15 years of research that included pouring through over 10,000 historical documents and newspaper archives at one of the country's largest genealogical libraries. 13 years of archaeological fieldwork of exploring over 700 sites and photographing over 200 mound and earthworks in the Ohio Valley resulted in many of the extant giant's tombs to be be photographed for the first time.

This is a 515 page book loaded with information on Giants in the United States. I appreciated how the author labeled the states under the headings in the table of contents. This makes it much easier to locate information on certain areas. I have also purchased his other two books and find them all filled with a wealth of information.

No meat just bad potatoes

This was not an encyclopedia on Native Americans history on their lore of giants. Sadly this could have been a wonderful book on the subject but all you get is pictures of huge burial mounds some pics of skeletons of abnormal size and some newspaper clippings. That's it no info on the pictures or burial mounds etc. It just felt kinda of lazy for what could have been a wonderful history of native lore.

No text only pictures. No story nothing but sketches no information on most of the pictures. Confusing because no information or erase arch description. How do you have a bookmark with no text explaining the photos
