Trouble with a badge by Delores

It is a really good book for women who like romance action and suspense. the characters are well written and interesting. The plot moves fast which is to be expected for such a small book but it's a good plot too I like the cowboy lawman family and I like how Delores puts family loyalty in her books it's why I love reading her. Her villains are sometimes just well a bit smug about how they always will win but I like that because then the danger feels as if the heroes will never get out of it.

This is largely due to the sense of fear of the "outsider" in a post 9/11 world. Part of this is real, much of it is a social construction which enables governments to justify the establishment of new border fences as a means of keeping out the "alien" and controlling their own territory. The collection of essays in this book highlights diverse aspects of the ways in which walls and fences function in a globalized world, covering regions as far apart as America and Spain, and from the West Bank to Africa. I've given this item a poor rating because of the following
- Tutorials are sometimes difficult to follow without the source code in at least one case I would have been lost
- To get the source code you have to register with a web site
- Most importantly the entire content of the eBook is freely available on the website. I ended up following along in my browser.

An impressive collection of short stories from Makhosazana Xaba. I first encountered Xaba as a poet, and that control of language comes through in these stories.

As with any collection there were some that I liked more than others, but the best were beautiful, lingering in my mind long after I finished reading.

About the Author

Wayne W. Fisher, PhD, BCBA-D, is the H. B. Munroe Professor of Behavioral Research in the Munroe-Meyer Institute and the Department of Pediatrics at the University of Nebraska Medical Center, and Director of the Center for Autism Spectrum Disorders at the Munroe-Meyer Institute. Dr. Fisher’s research interests include preference, choice, and the assessment and treatment of autism and severe behavior disorders. He is a recipient of the Bush Leadership Fellowship Award and the American Psychological Association (Division 25) award for distinguished contributions to applied behavioral research.

Cathleen C. Piazza, PhD, is a Professor at the Munroe-Meyer Institute and the Department of Pediatrics at the University of Nebraska Medical Center, where she is also Director of the Pediatric Feeding Disorders Program. Dr. Piazza's research examines various aspects of feeding behavior in children with disabilities, with a focus on behavioral approaches to assessment and treatment.

Henry S. Roane, PhD, BCBA-D, is Associate Professor in the Departments of Pediatrics and Psychiatry at SUNY Upstate Medical University and Director of the University’s Family Behavior Analysis Clinic. He is currently an Associate Editor for Behavior Analysis in Practice and serves on the boards of directors of the Behavior Analysis Certification Board and the Society for the Experimental Analysis of Behavior. Dr. Roane's research and clinical interests focus on the assessment and treatment of severe behavior disorders, preference identification, and program development.

Just a warning: you can't read this kindle book on Kindle Paper White and possibly other Kindle devices. I called Amazon.com who informed me that I could read it on my PC, which worked fine. This is the only Kindle book that I've ever had this negative experience with.
